Emma’s Tragic Life
“Why do I have to live this way, can’t it be anyone else! OHH if only I had another life. Why am I the only NORMAL person in my family? Oh my little Teddy Bear the only thing I know is that I will never give up on you, or be disappointed in you. You are my only hope! Do you know who usually helps me out? ITS YOU! You are the only one who cares about me. I have no friends, just you.”
Emma said to her teddy bear when she was desperate to have a good life.
She was walking along the road with her handicapped sister, Lyndia. They opened the supermarket door and went in. Emma’s sister grabbed cigarettes when Emma was not looking and put it in the basket. At the counter, they asked
” How old are you”
Emma did not know why they were asking her but she answered,
“I am 11 and my sister is 16”
“So that means you two are not aloud to have THESE!”
Emma had no idea what the counter boy was talking about so she asked
“What are we not aloud to get?”
“ Uuh do you even know what you are buying?” he answered glumily.
Then he took the cigarettes and held it in front of her.
“LYNDIA!”
Emma screamed at her sister.
“I TOLD YOU A MILLION TIMES, YOU ARE NOT ALOUD!”
Emma marched out of the store without even taking her things. The counter boy was all confused but got over it. Lyndia was riding her wheel chair so fast when suddenly BAAAM!
Lyndia was on the floor in the middle of the road. Emma did not even look around but she knew what had just happened. To Emma the whole world had frozen. She did not know what to think or do. In her mind, she was hoping and hoping that the cars had stopped. When she finally decided to look around, an ambulance was already there. The nurses told her to come in the ambulance.
The shock made Emma sleep and when she woke up she was in a weird bed and all she could see around her was white. For a moment she had no idea where she was but when she got her mind working again she ran as fast as she could to the nearest nurse.
“ Where is my sister, and what happened to her?” The nurse all confused answered.
“Calm down and tell me your sister’s name.”
“ Lyndia”
Emma answered as fast as she could. She desperately wanted to see her sister.
”Your sister is doing just fine but she will need to stay a little longer.” “Can I go and see her?” Emma asked
“I am afraid you cannot right now, the doctors are checking her with the X-rays.”
“ When will I be able to see her though?’’
“If you wait just ten minutes the doors will be opened.”
I stepped in the room and saw my sister and the doctor. The doctor told me that my sister was just fine but that she was going to have to go to a special learning center where I could only visit once every 2 month. I was very happy that she was alive but it would have been even better if she could just stay with me. I came back home all disappointed.
It had already been 1 week since I had not seen my parents. I had not heard from them but I was not worried. Later that evening I got a call from the police saying that my parents had burnt a shoe shop and that 3 people were injured and that they had to go to jail for 3 whole years.
“Are you sure they are my parents?”
I asked. They said yes and they told me that I was going to the Hapeville orphanage. I was in such shock that I did not even react, I did not even get mad!
That morning she was at a new house, she did not even know how she came here? It was just like her first day of school, being new and everything. Later that night, she was quite scared, she was in a new bed, a new room, new people around her when she started asking
“ Hello god, its me Emma?” “Are you there god, Are you even listening to me god?”
“Well anyway if you are than listen to me.” Emma said quietly.
“Please make a very nice family adopt me. I would be the happiest person in the whole world!”
She stood on her bed and said
“ PLEASE PLASE god, Make my wish come true”
After this wish, I fell asleep.
The next morning Timothy, my room mate woke me up and told me that their was a surprise downstairs.
I got dressed and went downstairs and I saw a nice family standing there waiting for me. The next thing I knew, I was signing a contract paper for them to adopt me!
